Same Room

What does it take?

Very little: tell ETS, each student records an anchor once and checks in every class, and a team puts one phone on the table. Students speak as always.

Every Student

What do I get?

After every session you can see every student, who spoke and what they argued, in their own words; cleared pages arrive in your Canvas course, and at the end of term one email brings the whole record.

Anchor

How does Tolk know a student's voice?

Once, for all her courses, a student records about half a minute of her voice in the check-in app, so what she says in class finds its way back to her; the recording and her voice print stay at Duke.

Who Spoke?

How does Tolk tell who said what?

Tolk puts a name to a voice from three clues, the voice, the seat and a name called, and no single clue settles a case.

Fidelity

What is the AI told?

A student's words are written down on our own computer, the names in her class are swapped for invented ones before the text goes out, and the ledger that pairs them stays behind, so her professor gets her real name back.
